Product description

The Ninebot ES charging port rubber protector is a practical and necessary replacement part for those who want to protect the charging port on their Ninebot electric scooter from everyday wear and tear. The charging port is one of the most exposed parts of an electric scooter and without proper protection, it risks being exposed to moisture, dust and dirt which can cause charging problems or electrical faults over time.

This charging port cover is made of durable silicone rubber that provides a tight and flexible fit directly over the charging port. The material is designed to withstand rain, splashes and dirt from the road, making it ideal for daily use in Nordic conditions. The cover sits firmly in place and does not come loose while driving, while being easy to remove when charging.

By using a properly fitted rubber charging port cover, you extend the life of your electric scooter and reduce the risk of costly repairs. This is an affordable and smart investment for those who want to maintain full functionality, safe charging and a well-maintained vehicle. Order your charging port cover today and protect your Ninebot scooter the right way.

Laws & regulations

Electric scooter
An electric scooter is considered a bicycle if it has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and a motor with a maximum of 250 W. However, it is important to note that the limit applies to the continuous (nominal) power – which means that the electric scooter may temporarily have a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W.

If the electric scooter exceeds 20 km/h in speed or has a motor with a nominal power of more than 250 W, other rules apply. The next classification is Moped class II and then Moped class IThere are technical requirements, such as braking systems, that must be met for an electric scooter to be classified as a moped.

Essentially, if it reaches up to 25 km/h it is considered Moped class II, while if the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the motor is stronger than 250 W, it is classified as Moped class I. For Moped class I, an AM driving license is required, the vehicle must be registered, and a helmet must be worn. Moped class II requires a driver's license and mandatory use of a helmet. If the electric scooter does not meet the requirements for a bicycle, Moped class I or II, it may not to be used on public roads.

Electric bike
For the requirements to apply to an electric bicycle, the motor must be limited to 250 W nominal (continuous) power and only assist pedaling up to 25 km/hThis means that the engine can temporarily deliver a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W. The electric bike must also be pedaled for the motor to work – it must not be able to drive on its own without the user's pedaling power.

Deviation from these requirements results in the vehicle being classified as moped, which entails other technical requirements, registration requirements, driving license and insurance.

We strongly recommend the use of a helmet, especially if the driver is under 15 years old, although it is not mandatory.
