Product description
Dualtron Thunder 3 – The ultimate upgrade of a legend.
The Dualtron Thunder 3 is here – a powerful upgrade to the iconic Thunder 2 that takes performance, comfort and safety to a whole new level. With an improved 10,800W max motor, IPX5-rated water resistance and an upgraded braking system with 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, this is the electric scooter for those who demand the best. Add in a new folding design, reinforced handlebar and an advanced EY4 display with Bluetooth connectivity, and you have an electric scooter that is built to dominate both city streets and longer adventures.
Maximum power and improved acceleration.
The Dualtron Thunder 3 delivers massive performance with its two 5000W motors (10,800W maximum power). Thanks to larger motors and more powerful control units, you get even better acceleration and torque than its predecessor, the Thunder 2. With a top speed of 100 km/h (legally limited to 25 km/h) and the ability to handle inclines of up to 35°, this electric scooter is a real powerhouse on the roads.
Extreme range and improved charging.
With a powerful 72V 40Ah LG or Samsung battery, the Thunder 3 has an impressive range of up to 170 km. Thanks to the dual charging ports, you can shorten charging time to as little as 6 hours when using a fast and standard charger simultaneously.
Superior comfort with adjustable suspension.
The Thunder 3 is equipped with an advanced rubber suspension system both front and rear, which can be adjusted in 15 different steps. With five replaceable suspension cartridges, you can fine-tune the suspension to suit your riding style and road surface. Whether you're riding on city streets or taking a ride on more challenging terrain, the Thunder 3 offers an incredibly smooth and comfortable riding experience.
Top-class safety – improved braking system.
One of the biggest improvements on the Thunder 3 is the new four-piston hydraulic braking system with integrated cooling. The massive 160mm brake discs provide superior stopping power, while the electronic brake system (E-ABS) prevents wheel lock-up and provides smooth and controlled braking even at high speeds.
Water-resistant design for all weather conditions.
Unlike the Thunder 2, the Thunder 3 has an IPX5 rating for the entire scooter and an even higher IPX7 rating for the EY4 display. This means you can ride safely even in the rain without having to worry about water damage – a feature previously missing from Dualtron’s top-of-the-line models.
New EY4 display and smart connection.
The upgraded EY4 display is both larger and more advanced than previous models. Featuring IPX7 water resistance, Bluetooth connectivity, and integration with Dualtron's app for both iOS and Android devices, you can monitor speed, battery status, driving mode and much more in real time.
Improved folding design and stability.
The Dualtron Thunder 3 features a completely new folding mechanism and a reinforced handlebar, making it more stable both while riding and when folded. This reduces vibrations and provides a more reliable riding experience, especially at high speeds.
Dual headlights and better visibility.
The Thunder 3 is equipped with two dedicated front headlights, turn signals, brake lights and a powerful horn, making it both safer and easier to ride in the dark or in heavy traffic.
Dualtron Thunder 3 vs.Thunder 2 – what's new?
If you're already familiar with Thunder 2, you might be wondering what makes Thunder 3 an upgrade? Here are some of the biggest improvements:
- More power: Larger engines and improved control units for increased acceleration and performance.
- Better brakes: 4-piston hydraulic brakes with integrated cooling for superior braking performance.
- Water resistance: IPX5 rating for the scooter and IPX7 for the display – ride safely in the rain.
- New EY4 display: Bigger, clearer and with Bluetooth connection to the Dualtron app.
- New folding mechanism: Improved stability and easier storage.
- Dual headlights: Better visibility in the dark and increased safety.
If you're looking for the best in electric scooters, the Dualtron Thunder 3 is the obvious upgrade. With improved performance, longer lifespan, and a better riding experience than ever before, it's time to take your commuting and adventures to the next level.

Electric scooter
An electric scooter is considered a bicycle if it has a maximum speed of 20 km/h and a motor with a maximum of 250 W. However, it is important to note that the limit applies to the continuous (nominal) power – which means that the electric scooter may temporarily have a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W.
If the electric scooter exceeds 20 km/h in speed or has a motor with a nominal power of more than 250 W, other rules apply. The next classification is Moped class II and then Moped class IThere are technical requirements, such as braking systems, that must be met for an electric scooter to be classified as a moped.
Essentially, if it reaches up to 25 km/h it is considered Moped class II, while if the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the motor is stronger than 250 W, it is classified as Moped class I. For Moped class I, an AM driving license is required, the vehicle must be registered, and a helmet must be worn. Moped class II requires a driver's license and mandatory use of a helmet. If the electric scooter does not meet the requirements for a bicycle, Moped class I or II, it may not to be used on public roads.
Electric bike
For the requirements to apply to an electric bicycle, the motor must be limited to 250 W nominal (continuous) power and only assist pedaling up to 25 km/hThis means that the engine can temporarily deliver a higher so-called peak power, for example up to 1000 W, as long as the nominal power does not exceed 250 W. The electric bike must also be pedaled for the motor to work – it must not be able to drive on its own without the user's pedaling power.
Deviation from these requirements results in the vehicle being classified as moped, which entails other technical requirements, registration requirements, driving license and insurance.
We strongly recommend the use of a helmet, especially if the driver is under 15 years old, although it is not mandatory.
Read our blog posts for more information about the rules that apply to electric scooters and electric bicycles.

So, I'm completely sold! I've been riding electric scooters for years and have tested a lot, but the Dualtron Thunder 3 is something else. The first time I pulled the throttle, I laughed out loud – the power is brutal! The suspension makes you just float forward, even on bad roads. The battery life? Ridiculously good, I can ride a whole day without even thinking about charging. It feels like I have a motorcycle in a smooth scooter format. If, like me, you love speed, stability and always having the coolest scooter on the street – ride this one. Worth every penny!
